Anesthesia

At our clinic, we place great emphasis on the comfort and safety of our patients. We offer a wide range of anesthetic techniques, ensuring that every procedure is performed safely.

Our specialists will provide you with all the necessary information about the various forms of anesthesia, including local, tumescent, sedation, and general anesthesia, so you can together choose the most suitable option for your needs.

Local Anesthesia

Local anesthesia is a technique where the anesthetic is applied directly to the area where the procedure is performed. This type of anesthesia blocks pain in specific tissues, while the patient remains conscious and able to communicate. Local anesthesia is typically used for minor surgical procedures, and its advantages include quick recovery and minimal side effects.

Tumescent Anesthesia

Tumescent anesthesia is a specific form of local anesthesia. A larger volume of a solution containing anesthetic, saline, and additives that help constrict blood vessels is injected into the tissue. This type of anesthesia is often used in liposuction and other procedures where we need to reduce bleeding and improve patient comfort. Tumescent anesthesia offers a longer duration of anesthesia and reduces the risk of pain during and after the procedure.

Sedation

Sedation is a process in which a calming and relaxing medication is administered to the patient, allowing them to remain conscious but with limited ability to respond. It is often used for minor surgical procedures, as well as for larger and longer operations, such as a Deep Plane Facelift. Sedation can vary in depth, with an intravenous (IV) line being established through which the sedative or calming agents are administered. Sedation is used in combination with local or tumescent anesthesia. In the case of deep intravenous sedation, the patient is practically asleep throughout the entire operation, breathing oxygen through nasal cannula. In this scenario, they undergo the procedure with maximum comfort and minimal stress.

General Anesthesia

General anesthesia is a technique that induces the patient into a state of deep sleep. It is used for extensive surgical procedures that require a longer duration and more complex interventions. General anesthesia is administered intravenously. After the procedure, the patient needs time to recover, but this form of anesthesia ensures complete comfort and safety during the operation.
