Its principle is transplanting the client’s own fat cells from one part of his/her body to another. The great advantage of this method is that the client’s own fat – i.e. material inherent to his/her body – is used, which guarantees its easier acceptance by the organism, without the occurrence of adverse reactions.
The surgery is usually performed under local anaesthesia. The fat is removed with gentle liposuction and then cleaned and prepared for application.
The survival rate of the transplanted fat is between 20% and 50%, so sometimes it is necessary to repeat the procedure.
The duration of the procedure varies and depends on the extent of the procedure.
