During our initial consultation, the plastic surgeon checks your health and you’ll discuss your expectations. A thorough check is necessary before the surgery, which can be done at our clinic.
The surgery is usually conducted under general anaesthesia and takes about two hours. If only a little skin needs to be removed, local anaesthesia may also be used. The surgery aims to remove all excess skin and subcutis. The cut is on the inside of your shoulder so it’s almost invisible. If VaserLipo treatment is used, excess fat is dissolved using ultrasound and suction is applied to remove it. You’ll have to use elastic wear for up to 3-4 weeks after the surgery. Stitches are removed on day 14 after the surgery.
It’s a good idea to avoid physical exercise for three weeks after the surgery. Full physical exercise is only recommended 6 weeks after the treatment. The scar fades away slowly and becomes invisible.
